The Killarney neighbourhood provides a good mix of different home and townhome styles. Other schools in neighbouring communities include Sr. Cecilia Junior High, Archbishop O'Leary High School, St. Vladimir Catholic Elementary School, Delwood Elementary School, Ecole Pere-Lacombe School and Lauderdale Elementary School.
The neighbourhood has its own Killarney Park, which is accessible to the public and features a wide-open field. Around the neighbourhood, you'll run across other recreational places like the O'Leary Leisure Centre and the Northgate Lions Senior Citizens Recreation Centre. An enormous leisure facility on 112 Street called Grand Truck Leisure Centre, which features several community amenities, is also easily accessible to Killarney residents. Killarney is maintained by the Killarney Community League, which residents can join if they choose to.
Shopping centers like Northgate Mall and Northtown Mall are located on 137 Avenue. Another shopping option for shopping is the Londonderry Mall located on 82 Street and various restaurants, cafes, and other services are also located along this street. Buses can be found along 127 Avenue, 132 Avenue, 97 Street, and 82 Street. The neighbourhood is also close to the Northgate Transit Centre.
